AMD's 9950X3D2 announcement is ridiculous in the best way

AMD announcing the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 with dual 3D V-Cache on both chiplets is one of those rare hardware reveals that made me stop and reread the spec sheet.
On paper it is absurd in a very fun way: 16 cores, giant cache pool, and a part that looks like it wants to be both a workstation CPU and an overkill gaming chip at the same time. The sticker shock is real at $899, but this feels like one of those products that exists because AMD knows there are enough people who want the answer to "what if I want everything?"
I am curious how people see it. Is this a real buy for mixed-use power users, or mostly a halo part that makes the regular 9950X3D look more reasonable?
