Slow-news week so let's do a fun one. What was your gateway into this hobby, and what was your first build?

Mine: a hand-me-down OptiPlex that I shoved a low-profile GPU into in high school just to run a game it had no business running. The moment it actually booted with the new card I was hooked — that 'I made this work' feeling never gets old. Fast forward and I'm the person friends text before they buy anything.
