27-inch 1440p OLED or 32-inch 4K for mixed gaming and work?

I keep bouncing between two monitor upgrade paths and cannot decide which tradeoff annoys me less.
Option one is the obvious fun pick: 27-inch 1440p OLED with high refresh, great motion, and genuinely pretty games. Option two is the more practical adult choice: 32-inch 4K, more room for timelines and tool panels, sharper text, and a workspace that does not feel cramped the second I open Blender and Resolve side by side.
If your setup has to handle both games and actual work, what did you end up choosing? I am especially curious about text clarity, burn-in anxiety, and whether the jump to 4K ended up forcing a GPU upgrade sooner than expected.
