About This Build
Purpose-built for streaming. The 7800X3D is the best gaming CPU you can buy right now - that 96MB L3 cache means consistently high fps which matters a lot when your audience is watching at 60fps.
The 4070 SUPER handles NVENC encoding beautifully. I stream at 1080p60 using NVENC and the quality is practically identical to x264 medium without the CPU overhead. This frees up the 7800X3D to focus entirely on the game.
32GB of DDR5 is the sweet spot for streaming. OBS, the game, a browser with chat, Discord, and Spotify all running simultaneously without hiccups. I've never seen memory usage go above 24GB even with all that open.
Went with the Fractal Design North because it's one of the quietest mid-towers available. When you're streaming with a condenser mic, case fan noise is the enemy. This case with the stock fans is barely audible even under load.
